The Ministry of AYUSH Pavilion at the World Food India 2024 event showcased the important role of Ayurveda and various traditional systems of medicine in modern nutrition and holistic health, attracting visitors from across the global. These Ayurvedic diets combine traditional wisdom with contemporary food solutions.

About World Food India 2024

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries is organizing the World Food India event at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi till 21st September, 2024. A special session of AYUSH on Revolution in Nutrition: ‘AYUSH Food Innovations for a Sustainable World’ was also organized on 20th September, 2024 during the WFI event.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH visited the AYUSH Pavilion on the occasion of the inauguration of World Food India 2024 on 19 September. There he emphasized the importance of integrating Ayurveda into mainstream nutrition for health in the context of modern lifestyles. He said, “Ayurveda diet provides scientifically backed, time-tested dietary solutions that promote holistic health. World Food India provides an ideal platform to bring this ancient knowledge to the global stage.”

Main attractions:

  • One of the highlights of the AYUSH Pavilion at World Food India was the Ayurvedic diet products that help to overcome everyday ailments like diabetes, obesity and hypertension.
  • The exhibition showcased to the visitors how Ayurvedic ingredients can be incorporated in the everyday diet to enhance overall health and well-being.
  • Apart from these, the AYUSH Pavilion also provided live demonstrations and consultations with Ayurvedic nutritionists who provided personalized dietary advice based on Ayurveda.

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries organised World Food India 2024 which brought together international and Indian companies, policy makers and influencers in the food and agriculture sector. In the presence of senior dignitaries and stakeholders from across the world, the event highlighted India’s rich food traditions inspired by Ayurveda and their relevance to current global health challenges.
