Question 1. Recently, scientists of the Field Museum have discovered a large meteorite of 17 pounds in which continent?

Answer – Antarctica

Maria Valdes of the Field Museum, Chicago and 3 other scientists discovered this meteorite during an Antarctic mission. This meteorite is heavier than even a bowling ball and a pumpkin. Scientists have found more than 450 meteorites on this icy continent. According to NASA, the size of a meteorite usually ranges from a pebble to a cricket ball. To date, more than 60,000 meteorites have been found on Earth.

Question 2. Which portal has been recently launched by the Central Government for the purpose of registration and vaccination of pregnant women?

Answer – U-WIN

After the success of the Co-WIN platform, the central government has launched this portal for vaccination of pregnant women. The pilot phase of this program launched in two districts of each state and union territory. These platforms are for registering and vaccinating pregnant women, recording deliveries, registering newborns, giving post-birth vaccine doses, and other immunization programs.

Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit has inaugurated North India’s 2000 KWP floating solar project in Chandigarh. This floating solar power plant commissioned at Water Works, Sector 39 at a cost of Rs 11.70 crore. Apart from this, Governor Purohit also inaugurated a 500 KWP floating solar power plant set up on Dhanas Lake.
