Every year on 28 September, World Rabies Day is celebrated across the world with different themes. This year (2024) this day was celebrated with the theme ‘Breaking the Boundaries of Rabies’. As the name suggests, this day is celebrated to make people aware about a deadly disease like rabies. In India, 20000 people die every year due to rabies. This day was established by the Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC), which was recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO).
