DST launches Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign
The Department of Science and Technology (DST) launched the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign on September 17, 2024. The aim of launching this campaign by DST is to promote the idea of cleanliness and commitment towards hygiene.
The Department of Science and Technology launched the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign in all the buildings of the Department, autonomous institutions and subordinate offices of the Department across the country.
Key activities of DST on Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 Campaign
- The Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology administered the oath to the officers and employees of the department to build a clean and waste-free India under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. A total of 395 officers and employees of the department took the oath to create cleanliness awareness.
- Apart from these, a total of 2957 employees of all the 26 autonomous institutions of DST and 2549 employees of subordinate offices also took the oath of cleanliness.
- This oath emphasized commitment towards the goals of the campaign and making the campaign more extensive and intensive.
- A painting competition on the theme “Clean India of my Dreams” was also organised for students from various States and Union Territories on 17th and 18th September, 2024.
Upcoming Events
- Lectures – awareness sessions on the topic “Cleanliness and its impact on health” will be organized in government schools located near Technology Bhawan from 20th to 30th September, 2024.
- Apart from this, a preventive health camp will be organized for DST sanitation workers on September 26, 2024.
- In this camp, protective and hygiene equipment will be provided to 104 sanitation workers of the department.
