World Day Against Child Labor observed every year on 12 June. It aims to promote the demand for the abolition of child labor worldwide. The day raises awareness to prevent force labor and is a day to take action against the exploitation of children. The International Labor Organization (ILO) started celebrating this day in the year 2002 to draw attention to the issue of child labour.

The G20 SAI conference is being organize under the chairmanship of Shri Girish Chandra Murmu. The SAI 20 conference is being held in Goa from 12 to 14 June 2023. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG) is the chair of the Supreme Audit Institutions-20 (SAI 20) Engagement Group under India’s G20 chairmanship.

Question 3. Where did Union Ministers Sarbananda Sonowal and Parshottam Rupala lay the foundation stone of Kochi Fisheries Harbor recently?

Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Shri Sarbananda Sonowal and Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Shri Parashottam Rupala laid the foundation stone for the modernization and upgradation works of Kochi Fishing Harbour, at Thoppumpady in Kerala. The cost amount of this Kochi Fisheries Harbor is Rs 169.17 crore. The project will increase the export of fish and fish products to the tune of Rs 1500 crore per annum. It will promote economic development through the welfare of the fishermen community.

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the Shelad to Nandura project on Amravati-Chikhali National Highway 53 at Khamgaon in Buldhana, Maharashtra. The cost amount of this project is Rs 816 crore. The total length of the quadrilateral project of Sadar Shelad-Nandura division is 45 km and includes 14 km greenfield bypass, 4 major bridges, 16 minor bridges and 63 culverts, 1 ROB, 8 vehicle underpasses, 2 pedestrian underpasses, 12 bus shelters.

Question 5. Who is organizing buyer-seller workshops at district level in Uttar Pradesh?

Answer – Government-e Market Place (GeM)

Government-e Market Place (GeM), Uttar Pradesh is conducting GeM buyer-seller workshops in all 75 districts of the state from June 12 – August 31, 2023. The objective of these workshops is to enhance the understanding of the working of GeM, as well as to provide a platform to the public to address any queries or concerns.
