Question 1. Recently RBI canceled the license of which co-operative bank in Madhya Pradesh?

Answer – Gadha Sahakari Bank, Guna

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), this co-operative bank does not have sufficient capital and earning potential. In its statement, the RBI said that about 98.4 per cent depositors of the cooperative bank are entitled to receive their deposits from the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC) in full. However, DICGC has already paid Rs 12.37 crore out of the total insured deposits, based on the wishes of the concerned depositors of the bank till December 19, 2022.
