Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra has been selected as India’s torch bearer at the 2024 Paris Olympics. India’s first individual Olympic gold medalist and IOC Athletes Commission member Abhinav Bindra is one of the 11,000 torchbearers selected to carry the iconic symbol. The torch will head to Marseille, France after the ceremonial lighting in Olympia, Greece on April 16.

India has officially launched its payment interface UPI payment system at the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris. With this, India’s UPI has now become global and France has also become the first European nation to adopt UPI for retail transactions. National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has launched UPI in France.

The previous edition of Exercise Vayu Shakti was held on 16 February 2019.
