Energy Minister KJ George has inaugurated the Underground Transformer Center in Bengaluru city. This is an important step towards modernization of the city’s power distribution infrastructure. A 500 KVA capacity transformer has been installed in this pioneering project with a budget of Rs 1.98 crore. The project is a collaborative effort between Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) and Bruhat Bengaluru Municipal Corporation (BBMP).
