8th Global Pharmaceutical Quality Summit 2023
The Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA) organized the 8th Global Pharmaceutical Quality Summit in Mumbai. The 2-day conclave brought together key players, regulators and experts from the pharmaceutical industry to discuss ways to reshape drug manufacturing in India with patient centricity in mind.
Indian vaccines praised at Global Pharmaceutical Quality Summit
In this conference, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers and Health and Family Welfare, told that India has played the role of a dispensary for the world community by providing uninterrupted supply of quality medicines and vaccines to the whole world during the Corona pandemic.
The Union Minister said that the Indian pharmaceutical industry has proved its mettle both in terms of quality and quantity. During Kovid, India provided vaccines to 150 other countries along with its citizens and no country has complained about the quality of Indian vaccines.
Mandaviya said that now the whole world wants India to manufacture medicines and vaccines. He said that at this time quality, R&D and innovation is the need of the hour. We should take advantage of this opportunity by using our brand power and manpower.

Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA) was established in the year 1999 in Mumbai. It is a national body representing over 1 million pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists from industry, academia, regulatory, hospital and community pharmacy. It works to meet the health care needs of the country. The IPA represents 24 research-based national pharmaceutical companies. The companies under it contribute to more than 85% of the private sector investment in the country’s pharmaceutical research and development.
