Number of posts of SLPRB Jail Warder
Assam State Level Police Board (SLPRB) has released the recruitment notification for 253 Jail Warder posts in the Prisons Department. There are 174 vacancies for Unreserved, 33 for OBC / MOBC, 12 for ST (P), 11 for ST (H), 10 for SC, and 13 for Ex-Serviceman.
Age Limit for Jail Warder
SLPRB has fixed the age limit of the candidate from 18 to 40 years for the posts of Jail Warder. In addition upper age limit will be relaxed for the following category:
(i) 5 (five) years in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) and ST (H).
(ii) 3 (three) years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC/ MOBC.
(iii) 2 (two) years for Ex-servicemen candidates.

Educational Qualification for Jail Warder
For this recruitment, the educational qualification of the candidates should be HSLC (HSLC) or equivalent from the government recognized board or council.

Height (Min.)
- For Gen/ OBC/ MOBC/ SC Male Candidate: 162.5 cms
- For Gen/ OBC/ MOBC/ SC Female Candidate: 144.5 cms
- For ST (H) / ST (P) Male Candidate : 160 Cms
- For ST (H) / ST (P) Female Candidate : 142 Cms
Chest (only for men)
- At least 81 cm in deflate position.
