Physicist C.V. Raman discovered the Raman effect on February 28, 1928. National Science Day is celebrate every year on 28 February to mark this discovery. The purpose of celebrating this day is to spread the message of importance of science and its application among the people. This day was establishe by the Central Government in 1986. Physicist Raman awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930 for this discovery.

Answer – Jammu and Kashmir tourism
The award presented by Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Culture and Parliamentary Affairs. Alias Ahmed, Deputy Director of Tourism, received the award on behalf of the tourism department. The award has been given to the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department for promoting ‘Gulmarg’ as an adventure destination of international order.

Answer – Irinjadpally Sri Krishna Temple, Kerala
The Irinjadapilla Sri Krishna Temple in the state’s Thrissur district will use the lifelike mechanical elephant for rituals. It has become the first temple in India to do so. The robotic elephant gifted to the temple by the animal rights organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), supported by Indian film actor Parvathy Thiruvothu. The ‘Irinjadpilly Raman’ temple will thus rehabilitate real elephants and support life in the wild.

Argentina’s Lionel Messi beat Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) teammate Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid captain Karim Benzema to lift the famous trophy at the Salle Play in Paris. Messi received 52 votes, Mbappe 44 and Benzema 34 in the FIFA Awards vote. Messi has been given this award for his outstanding performance in men’s football for the period from 8 August 2021 to 18 December 2022.

Shailesh Pathak will take charge as the Secretary General of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) with effect from 1 March 2023. In his career spanning 37 years, Pathak served as an IAS officer. FICCI established in 1927. It is the largest and oldest apex trade organization of India.
