Tea said to be the most popular beverage in the world after water. ‘International Tea Day’ celebrated to highlight its importance in daily life and its role in the economic development of the country. In the year 2019, the United Nations General Assembly had announced this day. Grown in more than 50 countries of the world, 2 billion cups of tea consumed daily. It is a major source of income for developing countries.

Then in the year 2002, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution to celebrate ‘World Cultural Diversity Day for Dialogue and Development’ on 21 May. This day celebrated with the aim of celebrating the prosperity of all cultures in the world and establishing peace.

Recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Hiroshima. The statue presented during the Prime Minister’s visit to the G-7 Summit from 19 to 21 May 2023. The statue depicts an important symbol of friendship and goodwill between the two countries. This 42 inch tall statue has been sculpted by Padma Bhushan awardee Shri Ram Vanji Sutar. This statue of Mahatma Gandhi has been installed near the iconic A-Bomb Dome on the banks of the Motoyasu River.
