The ‘Cannabis Research Project’ of CSIR-IIIM Jammu is a first of its kind initiative in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This groundbreaking project is being done in partnership with Canadian firm Induscan. Cannabis is a substance known to have an aphrodisiac effect. Through this project the aim is to make cannabis suitable for the benefit of humanity. This project will be special for patients suffering from diseases like neuropathies, cancer, and epilepsy.

The DS-SAR satellite weighs 3600 kg and represents the Government of Singapore and ST Engineering. The satellite will be launch into a near-equatorial orbit at an inclination of 5 degrees and an altitude of 535 km.
