The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking observed every year on 26 June. The purpose of celebrating this day is to strengthen action and cooperation against drug abuse and illegal trafficking. The United Nations General Assembly started celebrating this day on 26 June by resolution 42/112 of 7 December 1987.

Answer – REC Limited

Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) Limited is a Maharatna Public Sector Company under the Union Ministry of Power. Recently REC Limited has decided to provide financial assistance to Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) for the establishment and development of Metro line under Phase-II project of Bengaluru Metro. Under this decision taken in the REC’s board meeting, BMRCL will be given financial assistance of Rs 3,045 crore.

Under this MoU, various geospatial solutions will be develope on a free of cost basis for the Indian agriculture ecosystem using hyperspectral data sets of pixels.
