Indian grocery startup Zepto has announced that it has recently raised $200 million in round of funding. With this, Zepto has become the first Indian unicorn of the year. With this, Zepto’s valuation has gone up to $1.4 billion. Zepto was started in the year 2021 by two 19-year-old Stanford dropouts students Adit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra. National Sports Day in India is celebrated on 29 August. The day marks the birth anniversary of the Great hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. The celebration of this day started from the year 2012. Major Dhyanchand’s team won gold medals in the Olympics during the years 1928, 1932 and 1936. He played hockey at international level for 23 years. Major scored 570 goals in a total of 185 matches of his career. He became the third civilian to be honored with the Padma Bhushan award in the year 1956.

India’s ISRO successfully soft-landed on the south pole of the Moon on 23 August 2023. With this India has become the first and till date the only country in the world to do so. Apart from this, India is the fourth country to successfully land on the Moon in the form of a lander module.
