A contingent of 120 soldiers from the Indian Army and Air Force has left for Kazakhstan for the 7th joint military exercise Kazind. KAZIND-2023 will be organized in Qatar from 30 October to 11 November 2023. Exercise Kazind between India and Kazakhstan was started in the year 2016.

Thünen Institute of Germany and Indian Council of Agricultural Research are jointly organizing an international workshop on ‘Food Loss and Waste Prevention in the South Asian Region’ from October 30 to November 1, 2023 at the National Agricultural Science Center campus, New Delhi. This workshop was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje. This workshop will highlight the assessment and impact of post-harvest losses and food waste.

There is a 182 meter high statue of Sardar Patel in Kevadiya, Gujarat, which is known as the Statue of Unity.

The 15th Tribal Youth Program was inaugurated on 29 October in Mumbai. This program will continue till November 2. Two hundred and twenty participants are taking part in this program. These participants have come from Gumla, Khunti, Latehar, Seraikela-Kharsawan districts of Jharkhand state, Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh and Bhadradari district of Telangana state and tribal districts like Jamui, Lakhisarai of Bihar state.
