Question 1. Recently with which country is India participating in joint exercise ‘Sampriti’?
Answer – Bangladesh
The 11th edition of joint exercise ‘Sampriti’ is being conducted at Umroi, Meghalaya from 3 October 2023. About 350 soldiers from both the countries have participated in this exercise which lasted for 14 days. This annual joint military exercise was first organized in 2009 in Jorhat, Assam. Since then this exercise is being conducted by both the countries one by one.
Question 2. Who recently became the first woman to receive the Global Indian Award?
Answer – Sudha Murthy
Sudha Murthy is the wife of Infosys co-founder NR Narayana Murthy. Presently she is the Chairman of Infosys. He has been honored with the prestigious Global Indian Award by the Canada India Foundation (CIF) at a grand Indo-Canadian function held in Toronto. NR Narayana Murthy has also been honored with this award in the year 2014. The award is presented annually to an outstanding Indian personality who has left an indelible mark in his or her respective field. Under this, $50,000 is given.

Every year, Teachers’ Day is celebrated internationally on 5 October to honor the invaluable contribution of teachers. UNESCO and the International Labor Organization (ILO) held the Special Intergovernmental Conference on the Status of Teachers in Paris in 1966. The UNESCO/ILO Recommendation relating to the status of teachers was adopted at this conference. To mark the 30th anniversary of this conference, 5 October was marked as World Teachers’ Day in the year 1994.
Question 4. Who has been appointed by ICC as the global ambassador for World Cup 2023?
Answer – Sachin Tendulkar
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has named veteran Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar as the Global Ambassador for the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. Master Blaster Tendulkar will announce the opening ceremony of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup tournament starting from October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The first match of the World Cup will be played between England and New Zealand, the winners and runners-up of the previous World Cup respectively.
Question 5. When is National Wildlife Week 2023 being organized?
Answer – From October 2 to October 8
National Zoological Park started the 69th Wildlife Week this year. It is organized every year with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation in India. National Wildlife Week in India dates back to 1952, originally celebrated as Wildlife Day in 1955. The festival then evolved into a weeklong festival in 1957.
