Answer – Dr. Joyita Gupta

Spinoza is the highest award of the Netherlands, which has recently been awarded to Indian-origin Professor Dr. Joyita Gupta in the field of science. Professor Gupta was given this award by Robert Dijkgraaf, Minister of Education, Science and Culture of the Netherlands at a ceremony held in The Hague, for his outstanding work in the field of climate change.

Answer – Nokia

Telecom giant Nokia set up its state-of-the-art 6G lab at the company’s global R&D center in Bengaluru. India’s Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav attended the lab’s inauguration ceremony and spoke about how India aspires to be a leader in 6G technology. Nokia’s 6G laboratory aims to fully integrate sensing capabilities into the wireless network infrastructure.

Russia has successfully tested the nuclear powered super powerful missile Burevestnik. President Putin had announced the development of this missile in March 2018. Putin’s announcement also included Kinzhal ballistic missile and Avangard hypersonic glide. This Russian missile has unlimited range, unpredictable trajectory and the ability to bypass obstacles.

Question 5. Which state government has declared 35 percent reservation for women?

Answer – Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has announced that now there will be 35 percent reservation for women. After the notification issued by the General Administration Department, now women will get 35 percent reservation in direct recruitment. This rule will be applicable in all the departments of the state except the Forest Department. For this, Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Special Provisions for Appointment of Women) Rules 1997 have been amended.
