3rd Capacity Building Program for Sri Lankan Civil Servants organized at NCGG Mussoorie

The 3rd Capacity Building Program for Senior Civil Servants of Sri Lanka is being organized by the NCGG in Mussoorie . 

The 3rd Capacity Building Program for Senior Civil Servants of Sri Lanka is being organized by the National Center for Good Governance (NCGG) in Mussoorie from May 13, 2024 to May 24, 2024. 

Highlights of the Third Capacity Building Program

  • The objective of the 3rd Capacity Building Program is to educate the participants on the implementation of technological advancements to develop effective strategies for social improvement.
  • 41 civil servants working in the posts of Assistant Divisional Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Deputy Sergeant, Director and other posts are participating in the program.
  • The program highlights specific policies like skill development, agriculture, disaster management and health care initiatives like Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
  • Participants will learn about transformative policies like Right to Services, Housing for All by leveraging digital technology and Digital India initiatives.
  • Additionally, the program provided sessions on topics including planning for eco-friendly smart cities, Aadhaar as a tool for good governance and gender and development, among others.
  • NCGG, in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, has trained civil servants from 17 countries including Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania, Tunisia, Seychelles, Gambia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Laos, Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Cambodia. Are included.
  • The program also includes extensive field visits to prestigious institutions including Indira Gandhi Forest National Academy (IGFNA) and Forest Research Institute (FRI) in Dehradun, providing practical experience of the governance mechanisms.
  • Visits to the Cyber Security Cell and National Institute of Solar Energy in Noida as well as the International Solar Alliance in Gurugram provided first-hand information about cutting-edge technologies and initiatives shaping governance practices.
