Arogya Manthan 2023: In celebration of AB PM-JAY and ABDM scheme
The National Health Authority (NHA) is hosting the Arogya Manthan 2023 program on September 25 and 26 in the national capital. This two-day event is being organized to commemorate the completion of five years of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and two years of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
About Arogya Manthan 2023
The Arogya Manthan 2023 event organized by the National Health Authority (NHA) and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) will host informative discussions and deliberations on challenges, trends and best practices related to AB PM-JAY and ABDM scheme. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the implementation of AB PM-JAY and the second anniversary of the implementation of ABDM.
The keynote address at Arogya Manthan 2023 will be given by Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers. In this program, Minister of State (Health and Family Welfare) Professor SP Singh Baghel, NITI Aayog Member (Health) Dr. V.K. Paul, Secretary (Health and Family Welfare), Shri Sudhansh Pant and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Authority (NHA) will be present. Minister of State Professor S.P. Singh Baghel will preside over the inaugural session scheduled for September 25. In this session, Minister of State (Health and Family Welfare) Dr. Bharti Pravin Pawar will deliver her address through virtual medium.

Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY (AB PM-JAY) Scheme
This scheme was launched on 23 September 2018, which has written a new saga of health, productivity and prosperity. Under this scheme, 5.5 crore beneficiaries were admitted to hospitals free of cost, on which an expenditure worth Rs 69,000 crore was incurred by the government. The scheme has ensured good health to crores of poor and underprivileged families while also saving their families from catastrophic expenditure on health care.
Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) Scheme
Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), a very ambitious scheme of the Government of India, was launched on 27 September 2021. The scheme aims to create a digital pathway connecting various stakeholders of the health care ecosystem. More than 45 crore Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) have been created in the last 2 years. The scheme envisages leveraging digital technologies to strengthen healthcare delivery.
