The Union Cabinet has recently approved the ‘PM Vishwakarma Scheme’. Rs 13,000 crore has been sanctioned under this scheme, which will financially empower 30 lakh traditional artisans and craftsmen. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that under this scheme, the craftsmen will be given a loan of Rs 1 lakh in the first installment and Rs 2 lakh in the second installment at 5 percent interest rate.

Answer – In Chennai

Racing Promotions Pvt Ltd (RRPL) in association with the State Government has launched Night Street Racing Circuit in Chennai. This track is 3.5 km long, which will be located around the island ground. Apart from India, this will be the first night street circuit in South Asia. The track will also offer stunning views of the Marina Beach Road and the Bay of Bengal. The competition on this track will be held on December 9-10.

Sri Lanka’s 26-year-old all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has announced his retirement from Test cricket. He has said that he will focus on his limited overs career. In the year 2020, Hasaranga made his Test debut against South Africa and took four wickets in four matches. Whereas in white ball cricket, he has taken 67 wickets in 48 ODIs and 91 wickets in 58 T20 Internationals.

Typhoon Lan made landfall in Japan on August 15 and has affected many areas. Due to this storm many areas have been flooded. Heavy rains and strong winds have caused power outages in many areas. The area most affected by the storm is Shionomisaki in Wakayama Prefecture. The Japan Meteorological Agency also warned of flash floods and landslides in some areas from the typhoon.

Answer – Aditya-L1

Indian Space Agency ‘ISRO’ is going to launch the country’s first solar mission “Aditya-L1” soon. Aditya L1 has been built at ISRO’s UR Rao Satellite Centre. Now Aditya L1 has reached Sriharikota Spaceport in Andhra Pradesh, according to which Aditya L1 can be launched in the first week of September. Aditya L1 will be placed in a halo orbit close to the Langres point of the Sun-Earth system.
