Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Integrated Simulator Complex (ISC) ‘Dhruv’ in Kochi. The complex is meant to enhance the practical training of Indian Naval Personnel. Modern and state-of-the-art indigenously built simulators are located at ISC ‘DHRUV’. Envisioned to provide real time experience on navigation, fleet operations and naval combat skills, the simulator is available for training of Indian Navy personnel as well as personnel of friendly countries.

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT) has announced that Gennova Biopharmaceuticals Limited has developed an Omicron-specific mRNA-based booster vaccine using indigenous platform technology. The vaccine supported under Mission COVID Suraksha implemented by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC). This vaccine has also received approval from the Office of the Drug Control General of India (DCGI) for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).

Prior to CEO in UIDAI, he was Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
