All officers below the rank of Captain (equivalent to Colonel) can participate in the Sardar KM Panicker ‘NIB’ Essay Competition. The award has been institute in the memory of Sardar KM Panicker, a maritime strategic thinker. The competition will be an important element of the Navy’s annual calendar. Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar has launched the PM Kisan mobile app with face authentication feature. Through this, now the farmer can easily complete e-KYC by scanning his face without OTP or fingerprint even sitting at home, remotely. He can also help another 100 farmers to do e-KYC at their doorstep.

The Dehradun-based National Hydrographic Office (NHO) of the Indian Navy celebrated World Hydrographic Day on 21 June. On this day, NHO conducted several activities aimed at raising awareness about the important role of the Hydrographic Department in ensuring safe navigation, sustainable development of sea, protection of our oceans and coastal areas and supporting India’s blue water economy.
