At the 15th BRICS summit, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced the inclusion of 6 new countries in the BRICS group. These 6 countries are Saudi Arabia, UAE, Ethiopia, Egypt, Argentina and Iran. All these countries will get official member status from January 2024. PM Modi also says that adding new members will strengthen BRICS as an organization.

The central government is soon going to launch the ‘Mera Bill Mera Adhikar’ scheme. The award will be given monthly/quarterly in cash.
