Mathematicians Yunqing Tang and Ruixiang Zhang were awarded the SASTRA-Ramanujan Prizes for 2022 and 2023 at the SASTRA campus, Kumbakonam. The Shastra Ramanujan Award is given to individuals under the age of 32 to recognize mathematical skills. This award was instituted by SASTRA in the year 2005 to pay tribute to Ramanujan. The SASTRA-Ramanujan Award carries a US$10,000 commendatory cash prize and a citation.

Under this award, Sukrita Paul Kumar was given a Tagore statuette, a certificate and a cash prize of US$5,000.

Developed by Jute Corporation of India Limited (JCI), this application is available in six languages. JCI was established as an official agency by the Government of India in the year 1971.

Before President Macron, former French Prime Minister Jacques Chirac had been the chief guest in 1976 and 1998. Apart from these, former Presidents Valery Giscard d’Estaing, Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande have also been chief guests on Republic Day.
