The 17th edition of Exercise ‘Surya Kiran’ is being organized from 24 November to 07 December 2023 in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. This joint military exercise is conducted regularly between India and Nepal. This exercise between the two countries started in 2011. A Nepal Army contingent comprising 334 personnel has reached India to participate in this exercise.

Anish Shah is a graduate from Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business and has a Master’s and Diploma in Management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.

Apart from being the second largest sugar producing country in the world, it is also the largest consumer of sugar. India accounts for about 15 percent of global sugar consumption and 20 percent of production.
