Writer Priya A. S. awarded the Sahitya Akademi Children’s Literature Award 2023 for her Malayalam language novel “Perumazhayathe Kunjithalukal”. Author Priya drew inspiration for “Perumazhayathe Kunjithalukal” from the devastating Kerala floods of 2018. He witnessed the unity displayed by children from different backgrounds in the face of the disaster. Then he made these experiences the background of the novel.

The field evaluation of Swachh Survekshan 2023 is being started by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs from 1st July 2023. In this survey around 3000 assessors will conduct field assessment of 4500+ cities within 1 month.
