India’s first Dolphin Research Center was inaugurated by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna. The National Dolphin Research Center (NDRC) has been built on the campus of Patna University at a cost of Rs 30 crore. This research center will help students and scientists to understand the behavior of freshwater dolphins (Gangetic dolphins). CM Nitish Kumar had laid the foundation stone of this institute in the year 2020.
