This day is celebrated every year on 3 March by the World Health Organization (WHO) with the aim of preventing deafness, hearing loss and promoting hearing care across the world. On the occasion of this day, WHO organizes the annual World Hearing Day Symposium at its headquarters (Geneva).

Question 2. Which state government recently decided to launch Indiramma Awas Yojana?

Answer – Telangana

Telangana government is going to launch Indiramma Housing Scheme on 11 March 2024. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will provide housing to the people whose income is below the poverty threshold through this scheme. Under this scheme of the state government, financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh will be provided to the beneficiary (who already has a residential plot) to build a house. If the scheme eligible does not have a plot then the government will give him the plot and Rs 5 lakh.

Answer – Ocean Grace

Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the first indigenously built ASTDS tug ‘Ocean Grace’ on 2nd March. This made-in-India ASTDS tug has been developed by Cochin Shipyard. Sarbananda Sonowal also inaugurated the dedicated Medical Mobile Unit (MMU) with Ocean Grace, which will enhance health care services.
