About 1 lakh 40 thousand people died in this attack. This was the world’s first atom attack, whose 78th anniversary was celebrated this year. On this day, people around the world call for peace and unarmed global unity.

Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay handed over the check to Minister of State for Technology Kanak Herat. Sri Lanka’s Unique Identification Project will transform the country’s administrative structure to ensure better service delivery to citizens.
