World Happiness Report 2024, Finland the happiest country in the world for the seventh consecutive year

Recently, Finland has been considered the happiest country in the world in the annual (2024) ‘World Happiness Report’ released by the United Nations. The ranking of a developing country like India in the UN’s ‘World Happiness Report’ follows last year’s report.

Highlights of the World Happiness Report 2024

• Finland has become the happiest country in the world for the seventh year in a row.
• Finland is followed by Denmark, Iceland and Sweden in the ranking of happiest countries.
• India ranks 126th in the World Happiness Report 2024. India was at the same rank in the year 2023 also.
• Apart from India, other Asian countries in the happiness index are China at 60th, Nepal at 93, Pakistan at 108, Myanmar at 118, Sri Lanka at 128 and Bangladesh at 129.
• In the ranking, America is placed at 23rd place and Germany at 24th place. Whereas, Costa Rica is ranked 12th and Kuwait is included in the top 20 countries at 13th position.
• Afghanistan has been placed at the lowest position in the World Happiness Report 2024.

The last seven years of World Happiness Report have one thing in common, and that is Finland’s position. Finland has topped the World Happiness Report for 7 years in a row. The main reason behind this is considered to be the connection of the people there with their Mother Nature. People of this Nordic country follow a healthy work-life.
