KCC Ghar Ghar Abhiyaan: Farmers will get the benefit of Kisan Credit Card

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar have launched ‘KCC Ghar Ghar Abhiyaan’. Under this campaign, farmers across the country will get the benefit of Kisan Credit Card. 3 game-changing initiatives to revolutionize the country’s agriculture sector were launched in New Delhi on September 19. Apart from the KCC Ghar Ghar Abhiyaan, these initiatives also include Kisan Loan Portal and WINDS Manual.

Nirmala Sitharaman assured full cooperation of the banks for the success of the Kisan Credit Card Ghar Ghar Abhiyaan. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that use of technology and transparency is very important for agriculture. He said that three initiatives including this campaign have been launched to revolutionize the agriculture sector, increase financial inclusion, optimize data usage and improve the lives of farmers across the country.

Launch event of KCC Ghar Ghar Abhiyaan

Speaking at the launch of the campaign, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the PM Narendra Modi-led government allocated adequate funds under the Kisan Credit Card Scheme with the aim of ensuring easy short-term loans to farmers and connecting them to the KCC Ghar Ghar Abhiyaan. Is. He praised the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare for the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) initiative and its successful implementation. The Union Finance Minister said that so far, an Insurance amount of more than Rs 1,40,000 crore has been distributed to farmers in lieu of a premium amount of Rs 29,000 crore.

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said in his address that the budget of the Agriculture Ministry was Rs 23,000 crore in the year 2013-14, which has increased to Rs 1,25,000 crore in 2023-24. Taking his point forward, Tomar said that about 9 crore beneficiaries have been included under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Now the Ghar-Ghar KCC campaign (Kisan Credit Card Ghar-Ghar Campaign) aims to connect about 1.5 crore beneficiaries who are not yet connected to the scheme.
