MoU between Indian Coast Guard and Jindal Steel and Power

On May 07, 2024, ICG and JSP have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the supply of indigenous marine graded steel.

Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) on May 07, 2024 signed MoU in New Delhi for supply of indigenous marine graded steel with a view to promote indigenous shipbuilding material ( MOU) has been signed.

  • It was formally established on 18 August 1978 by the Coast Guard Act, 1978 of the Parliament of India.

  • Production Capacity: JSP has an annual steel production capacity of approximately 9 million tonnes.
  • Subsidiaries: JSP has coal mines, cement and grade fertilizer plants in Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha.
