Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-JIGYASA hosts student-science interaction program on climate change
Recently, JIGYASA National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NISCPR) Division of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducted a student-science interaction program titled “Impact of Climate Change: Food and Water Sustainability” in New Delhi.
Key points of the program
- CSIR ‘s Jigyasa program aims to work towards sustainability through science education by engaging school students.
- A total of 55 students from Kendriya Vidyalaya BSF Camp Chhawla and Cambridge School, Srinivaspuri, New Delhi have participated in it.
- The program featured an engaging activity titled “Doing Science is Fun”.
- Through the program, awareness of environmental protection will increase and positive change will be brought about.
- Goal: To raise awareness about climate change and motivate students to actively participate in environmental protection and energy-saving practices.
‘Wrinkles are good’ campaign
- CSIR launches campaign “To tackle the serious challenges of climate change”
- In which employees across the country wore unironed clothes every Monday till May 15.
- It aims to reduce carbon emissions and remind people about saving energy, protecting the environment and spreading awareness about climate change.
