Indian Army contingent to take part in anti-terrorism ground training exercise in Russia

A contingent of 32 personnel from a battalion attached with the Rajputana Rifles of the Indian Army has left for the anti-terrorism ground training exercise to be held in Russia from September 25 to 30, 2023. As co-chair of the EWG, Russia is hosting this multinational joint military exercise along with Myanmar.

Provides an opportunity for confrontation and coordination with the countries of South Asia (ASI) and the countries of South Asia. SARTM was started in Hanoi on October 12, 2010. This year there is also participation in ABSAS with the ASEAN Group.

Anti-terrorism ground training exercise

Many anti-terrorism exercises will be organized during this exercise. This counter-terrorism exercise also includes destroying terrorist groups in the fortified area. The main objective of this exercise is to strengthen regional cooperation in the field of counter-terrorism and encourage it to prevent terrorism. The ADMM Plus EWG on Counter Terrorism will provide the Indian Army a platform to share its expertise and best practices in counter terrorism operations as well as provide an opportunity to enhance cooperation with 12 other countries. The Indian Army is expected to get the best professional experience from this exercise.
