Question 1. Which country has topped the list of world’s most powerful passports?

Answer – Singapore

Singapore has topped the recently released Henley Passport Index. With the world’s most powerful passport, Singaporeans can travel visa-free to 192 out of 227 global travel destinations. Germany, Italy and Spain are the three European countries on the second place in this list. India has also improved its ranking by 5 places as compared to last year.

Question 2. Which country recently launched the intercontinental ballistic missile ‘Hwasong-18’?

Answer – North Korea

Recently, North Korea has unveiled the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) ‘Hwasong-18’. It is North Korea’s first missile to use solid propellant. The ICBM missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead has long-range firepower. This missile can hit a distance of more than 5,500 km.

Question 3. In which country will Indians be able to make payments through UPI?

Answer – In France

Addressing the Indians in Paris, the capital of France, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that very soon Indians will now be able to pay at the Eiffel Tower through UPI. There has been an agreement between India and France to make payments through UPI. It is being started from the Eiffel Tower, which will later be extended to other areas.

Rajya Kumar Sinha has officially assumed the post of Chief of SBI Capital Markets Limited (SBICAPS). Overseeing treasury operations at SBI, he managed various aspects including the bank’s investment portfolio, money market, equity, private equity and foreign exchange operations.

NTPC won the ET HR World Future Skills Awards 2023 for “Best Use of AI/AR/VR in Education & Skill Upgradation” and “Best Advances in Creating Extended Enterprise Learning Programs”. NTPC Director (HR) Dilip Kumar Patel received the award at a function held on July 13, 2023 in Gurugram.
