Hemavathi Temple, also known as Siddeshwara Temple, is an ancient Hindu temple located in Tumkur district of Karnataka. • Excellent carvings and engravings can be seen on the sanctum sanctorum, mandapa and walls of the temple. These include huge and intricate sculptures of deities, symbols of matted yogis, animal and bird figures and various natural motifs.
• The shikhara of the temple is also an excellent example of art and architecture. Its shikhara is extremely high and intricate, with many small and large domes and shikharas. The temple complex also has some spacious gateways and gates which are extremely artistic.
