TDB-Department of Science and Technology celebrated National Technology Day
National Technology Day 2024 was celebrated by the Technology Development Board (TDB) under the Department of Science and Technology on 11th May, 2024 in New Delhi.
Highlights of National Technology Day 2024
- Theme: ‘Promoting clean and green technologies for a sustainable future’
- On this occasion, emphasis was laid on promoting Electric Vehicles (EVs) through initiatives like National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) and Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME) with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Has gone.
- Professor Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST) underlined the importance of innovation for national development, stressing the need to foster a culture of innovation and provide opportunities to individuals to contribute to the progress of the nation.
- The event featured 23 students showcasing 100 innovative projects, representing 20 projects selected to compete in the prestigious Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair – ISEF.
- These finalists have won a coveted spot to represent India at the Regeneron International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Los Angeles, California, United States of America (USA) from May 11-17, 2024.
